Signs of to much time...

Since unemployment hit and I feel victim to our economy and the horrible choices the government is making...I have had TOO much free time on my hands. Here are two examples...

I read this entire book in less then 12 hours.

I have single handedly created Halloween costumes for my boyfriend and myself. We will be pirates. Yes...this endeavor even included a sewing machine. I am very proud of these costumes because between sales at Joann Fabrics, Walmart and Goodwill...I've only spend 20 dollars.

PS. I am a Health and PE teacher...I don't sew and read. #NEEDAJOB

Happy 25!

Happy 25th Birthday my little brother Tim. He is currently serving our country and gearing up for his first deployment in March. Even typing that makes me feel sick to my stomach. For everything he has done in the last 2 years he is my hero. I am so lucky to have such a great brother and friend!

New England

I have always loved New England especially during the fall. It is beautiful, even driving down an interstate for 5 hours. Spent the weekend in the Boston area for my cousin Michelles wedding to her long time boyfriend (he finally put a ring on it) Pat.

Before the wedding saw my Uncle Bob and his girlfriend Rosie. Along with my parents we went to the Head of the Charles regatta downtown. Crewing is a sport that I never knew much about but it was fun to watch people so passionate about their sport! I on the other hand hadn't had my coffee and so by the time we got to Boston (after riding in the back of a car, yes, motion sickness at its finest) I was not a happy camper.

Then off to the wedding which took place in Beverly, Mass. Beautifully done with care (minus the cold weather). Michelle looked beautiful in her dress. It was so good to see family that I don't get to see often enough. Many many cousins, aunts and uncles. Until the next Lenzo get together....

what in the world

Why do people betray us?

Why is hurting necessary sometimes?

And then after these situations, how do we pick ourselves up by the boot straps and get on with life?

Reason, Season or Lifetime

People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

I've had some people leave my life recently... Hurt is an interesting emotion because it is an emotion we feel based on something someone else does; an action, a word, a look etc. In my case, it was actions taken against me. It was something I was blindsided by and the hurt struck nerves so deep at I am dealing with it daily, now- even months later. Tears still stream. Frustration boils at times. And the loss of the people in my life that I considered friends hurts the most.

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty;to provide you with guidance and support;to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
